This unit is also a part of Bunn's BrewWISE system, which stores information like the flavor of coffee being ground and the batch size within a chip inside compatible brew funnels, so that when you take that funnel from a BrewWISE grinder to brew it, the brewer can read exactly what coffee was ground and dispense the correct amount of water for that flavor profile.
