To attach the add-on unit to your existing unit in a side-by-side fashion, use the included universal traverse dovetails. For an L- or U-shaped design, additional corner connectors will be needed (sold separately). Plus, this kit boasts a 50% decrease in the number of pieces compared to its former Elements standard kit counterpart, and no weight capacity is lost with kits that are attached to add-on kits. With vented shelves to provide optimum airflow and an antimicrobial coating to inhibit bacterial growth, this unit works well in virtually any environment! Plus, the single solid shelf is great for storing small or delicate items can't be stored on a vented shelf. For convenient installation, this unit comes with one factory assembled stationary post kit. Elements XTRA shelves are adjustable in 4" increments even after the shelving unit is installed, eliminating the need to disassemble the entire unit to move a shelf up or down. The composite material of the product is just as strong as steel and may be used in any environment, whether the climate is wet or dry. Also, it can withstand temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit making it a great choice for walk-in freezers or humid dish rooms.
