Eagle Group WTFT-1224-SG Cool Trough 12" x 24" Water Tempering System with Stainless Steel Grating

Avoid damage to your drainage system caused by scalding hot water with the Eagle Group WTFT-1224-SG Cool Trough 12" x 24" water tempering system. Water exiting boilers, humidifiers, sterilizers, and commercial dish washers usually exceeds 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which according to plumbing code is not safe for PVC pipes and could cause other safety and environmental issues. The Cool Trough system will lower the temperature of any water entering it to below that danger point. It does this by using a thermostatically controlled valve that is attached to a cold water line. When the valve detects water exceeding 130 degrees Fahrenheit it will automatically switch on the cold water until the water has been lowered to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, after which it will shut off. This method eliminates the waste of water by using more than is actually necessary. The valve is purely mechanical and does not require any electrical connection, which eliminates the potential for electrical component failure. The drain is designed with a built-in downward pitch for more effective draining without pooling around the trough. A heavy-duty stainless steel grate is completely removable for easy access to the drain. The 4" drain includes a removable basket style strainer to catch any non-liquids that enter the trough. An access compartment allows you to manually switch on and off the water supply via shut-off valve. This compartment is made of durable 14 gauge stainless steel.
