Once in place, liquid carbon dioxide flows into the freeze head and forms a dry ice pack of -110 degrees Fahrenheit that can withstand up to 7,000 PSI. This pipe freezing kit enables you to get to work on repairs in as little as 5 minutes for 1/2" copper tubing and 3 minutes for cast iron pipe. This kit is faster and less expensive than electrical freezing units, and by creating a tighter seal around the pipe, it is conveniently more efficient than bag-type CO2 units.
