Creating ice blocks has never been easier thanks to the Polar Temp IBM600 clear ice block maker. Capable of producing (2) 300 lb. ice blocks in approximately 72 hours, this unit accommodates up to 40 gallons of water in each of its two stainless steel chambers. Foamed-in-place CFC free polyurethane foam maintains optimally cold interior temperatures, while the insulated doors seal tightly to prevent warm air from seeping inside. To ensure cold interior temperatures, the unit's wall evaporator includes a copper tube with a TX valve to help regulate the refrigerant and refrigeration system, which is located on the bottom of the unit. A low pressure control allows the operator to tweak the pressure and the ice block making process as required. Plus, two on/off switches, one for the pumps and the other for the condensing unit, can be switched off when not in use to help save energy. These switches can operate either one or both of the chambers so that the unit's functioning can be customized to suit your needs. Built for not only quality performance and ease of use, but for durability, the unit has heavy-duty, 2", full-length door hinges and twist-run locks featured on each door. In addition, 6 heavy-duty casters, each designed to withstand up to 250 lb., allow the unit to be easily moved when necessary, such as for cleaning and maintenance. The condensing unit grilles are located on the front and sides of the ice block maker. The unit operates with a total of 1 hp. Two plugs are included.
